The Australian Federal Government, has set in place a scheme under which certain tradeable rights can be created for the generation of renewable energy or for the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gasses. These rights include Renewable Energy Certificates under the Renewable Energy Electricity Act, 2000.

What should I do with my RECS?

1. Create and use the REC's yourself. You may choose either 1, 5 or 15 year deemeing in which case you will need to register with the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator, pay the fees involved to register as a registered person to create them and then either keep them or find a purchaser for them

2. Assign the REC's to BP Solar who will create the RECS and pay the owner for them using the ENVIRO - CASHBACK SYSTEM.
